Time waits for no-one. . .

. . .and why should it.

I spent this last weekend surrounded by mountains, light and energy, kindred energy of lives past and lives to come, Angels and Spirit guides filled the space and meditation came easy in the safety of such wonderful souls. I found my focus and my balance once again, I strengthened my Aura and my Energy, I walked away knowing I am happy to BE.

It also gave me a chance to reflect and chat about my theories and my belief, or it may be more suitable to call it “sharing my opinion” with others, which-ever way you go with it is safe to say I had a wonderful time both sharing and listening in a phone free environment, it was quite refreshing. One of the topics that came up was time, how we were in the back half of October already, where did Summer go, in fact, where did the last few years go.  Well, it is my theory that as we get older we stop waiting for things to happen, it almost seems like when we hit the magic number of 50, things speed up dramatically. We no longer wait for dates, or occasions, we don’t wait for results or deadlines, we just seem to be happy being who we are and where we are in time, and time passes quicker.

Having said this, I found myself incapable of waiting for funding, although I am still seeking it, I will manifest what I need to get my little books out for December, one way or another, the Universe told me I should, so I will. This means I will self-publish once again, if an agent should happen by at the right time I will entertain the idea of going traditional, but I believe because one has not yet crossed my path (and believe me I have searched) that my little books are meant to stay organic and real, and just a heads up, you are going to love Series Two, Rachel has been incredible at polishing my word hugs, and I know Fiona is going to shine as well with design, I made a promise I wouldn’t let my readers down with this series and I haven’t, each Volume still brings a smile to my heart, and I wrote them.

Stay tuned…

As for my little Nerium Business, well, it would seem as though my energy and honesty, my belief in something and my willingness to share it is changing lives. I continue to build my Filipino Audience, Forty Thousand strong so far and climbing, does the Universe have something in store for us, you bet it does and I’m excited. Please keep sending your friends and family to me, Nerium is not open as yet in the islands but in the US, Japan, soon in Hong Kong and Columbia, Australia and Canada, anywhere you have family we can change their lives and they in turn can change yours, at this rate I won’t need funding for my little books, my Nerium Business will pay for my printing, it seems my “Why” is nearing fruition.

Speaking of Australia, they just opened on the 20th and already they are off the charts, the door is open my friends, you can choose to walk through yourself or hold it open for someone else… either way lives are going to change.

Believe in you, and others will too

Believe in your strength and what you can do.

Contact us, we WILL show you a new reason to smile.

Teaching is sharing. . .

. . . sharing is learning.

I was so thrilled and honored to be welcomed into a group of amazing ladies here in Calgary at The Further Education Society: http://www.furthered.ca.

The work they do is phenomenal. I never imagined my little book would ever be so welcomed or so useful to so many people—those struggling to find balance and focus, those learning to read, and those seeking inner strength and belief in themselves.

The ladies asked me if I would be interested in attending one of the many group sessions that are put together to bring people together.  The people in these groups sometimes need some inspiration—some help to guide them down a path of learning and self-recognition. I agreed, elated, as this is something I can speak to. I write my books from my heart, and the words and feeling I put into them come from many lifetimes of listening, and watching, and learning.  My words of inspiration are shared with positive energy, they are not intended to cure every broken heart or mend every tired soul (although I wish I could) but more to help individuals find their own light, and to help remind them just how wonderful they really are.

My words are smiles wrapped in hugs. They are life lessons I have learned along my journey. My spirit guide, the Raven, who has walked with me and shared my path, shares these words with me. He has taught me how to listen to the drums that call me to dance, how to recognize winds of change, and how to soar, high above the lands and sea, to a place where I can watch life happen.

As a new author, publishing my own work, I never know from one day to the next who will pick up my book, who will read it and simply enjoy the warmth of the smiles or start to amble down a path of self-awareness and in turn share a smile.

And I’ve never known from one day to the next if what I’ve been doing is worth all the work: until now. These women of the Further Education Society have been out there with the battered and the abused, the uneducated and the forgotten, and the new souls seeking the right way to just belong. To hear them say what a wonderful thing my little book is has put a smile in my heart that will last for many lifetimes to come, and a tear filled with warmth and caring in these grey eyes.

For all of you out there who aren’t sure if you are good enough or capable enough to do something meaningful, or to be successful, I say believe in you, believe in everything you do and know from this point forward that everything you do means something to somebody. Sometimes the smallest of efforts can change the way you look at life, and can change the way a life looks.

Believe in who you be, for the world may not know you exist, but being makes you a part of existence.

A circle is a circle. . .

. . when ends of a line are connected.

I am not sure how to start this post, or what to call it. I am purging to the universe, starting a new year with a clean conscience.  Every morning I write inspiring things, motivational things, spiritual things. Every morning I sit at my computer with a smile. And every morning I’ve started my day bearing what I think may be a grudge.

grudge (ɡrʌdʒ)

n

  1. 1.     a persistent feeling of resentment, esp one due to some cause, such as an insult or injury

I write about believing and being, about breathing and smiling and releasing stress. And yet I’ve been weighed down by a feeling I can’t “let go” of.  So today I write to the universe with hopes of releasing the burden of hurt. I was hurt by words and actions that were not in my control but that could have been controlled by others.

“Let it go,” “forgive and forget,” “move forward to the future and leave the past behind”—I can’t. Instead, I will use these uncomfortable feelings in my heart to better myself. I will share my positive energy through experience, not just through words that look good on paper.  Life is full of energy, positive AND negative, and I believe it is necessary to embrace both. Light needs darkness, yin needs yang, positive needs negative.

The more I write, the more the universe listens. I believe in myself, in who I am. I believe in taking the path that leads me to growth. I believe now that my grudge has been lifted, but I will still be the man I am. I will continue to be hurt by the actions of others because I am human with a soul, and I am allowed to feel. I choose not to forget what has transpired because it keeps me strong, but I forgive myself for feeling because I am human. I will let go of the negative energy that surrounds the hurt, but I will remember the lesson I have learned about life, that is, sometimes you can forgive the action but you will never forget the reaction.

My series of books contain heartfelt inspiration pertaining to topics such as choice, challenges, balance, and strength. I face many of the issues I write about, but I continue to smile. I choose to share my positive energy with the world, and so can you.

Walk your path because you can, feel the joy of being you,

Do the things that make you happy, share a smile that is true.

What you believe. . .

. . . is fine with you.

What do you believe? Do you find it hard some days to believe in anything? I sit down once a week and share with you my thoughts to inspire you to think about life, your life, and to believe in who you are. I know that believing in yourself is not always easy, in a world where some beliefs are often shaped and molded by rituals and stories.

When I sat down to write last week, all I could think of was Easter and what it means. I try so very hard each week to share my perspectives on things but not force anyone to think a certain way. I accept and am happy with the fact that some of you may have different opinions. So I am choosing to stay neutral and say nothing about Easter, to avoid controversy.

I can ask, however, are we losing the meanings of things over time? Holidays, traditions, celebrations? Will children generations from now know what we celebrated and why, or will the future hold an entirely different past to celebrate? What do you believe? And more importantly, why? As I wrote this I started to wonder more about life and what it means, it is easy for me to believe in myself, but can you say the same?

When you look in the mirror each day, do you believe in you? Do you trust your instincts, your skills, and your abilities? Do you believe that if you truly want something to happen, it will? This is the energy that should be nurtured and shared, attached to your biggest smile.

Believing should be more than a motion we go through to satisfy a momentary idea, it should come from the heart and the soul, it should, whatever we choose to believe in, give us strength, and it should help to guide us down what ever path we choose to walk.

We need to simply believe, in whatever we choose, but in my opinion, to believe in anything else, you need to believe in yourself first. You have a light in your soul that shines brightly. You have an essence, you have energy. You are unique in the universe, so find strength in this. Do something no one else has done, or admire that which others do, but at the end of every day, believe in life, believe in you.

A stone to some is just a stone, it does nothing that they can see

But I choose to enjoy the ripples it makes when tossed into water by me.

Can you hear the wind sing. . .

. . . the new song of spring?

Does the thought of spring do anything for you? Can you feel a change occurring within you? It’s really quite amazing I think, the fact that humans have evolved into such a dominant, thinking species. We have excelled in the last few decades at miniaturizing and improving our electronic devices; our communication equipment can now tell us in less than a heartbeat what the weather is going to be next week. Yet, we are still so much like our animal friends that we feel and react to the coming of spring.

I start my spring on March 1. I always have. It’s around this date that I can “feel” the changes in the sun—it seems warmer, stays out longer, and refreshes the day with more vigor. The wind goes through changes as well; it dances differently, it carries warmth with a song of change and starts to whistle tunes of enjoyment. Coats on our neighborhood four-footed outdoor denizens start to change, birds flutter about looking for somewhere to nest, and motorcycles start to appear on the streets.

Cars and bikes display a winter’s worth of changes, modifications, and polishing the very first day the streets are officially dry. We watch the news for the updated weather forecast and will alter our go/no-go temperatures by five degrees if it means getting out there for that first ride. Of course there are the winter folk who feel spring in the air as well. They entertain sad thoughts of the need to once again store the machines that brought them smiles, and they reflect on all the fun they had over the course of the winter months.

Spring changes us emotionally as well. I swear that most of us go into a rest mode during the winter. We still exist, we work, we live, we share our smiles, but during the first few weeks of spring, we, like the flowers and the trees, start to bud. Color comes back to our cheeks, we walk with a bounce in our step, and even the morning rush is less stressful because we feel a calm inside us.

I am finding it easier to sit in the office with my morning coffee and write my thoughts and share my daily inspiration on Facebook. It almost feels to me as if the day has become more welcoming. Even my dog, Levi, has a smile. He’s started shedding his winter coat and takes a little longer every morning to do his outside run.

Best of all, soon I will be out there on the streets with my freshly polished and modified motorcycle feeling the wind in my face and the freedom in my soul.

Feel the spring wind as it covers the ground.

It shares with you the warmth it’s found.

Do you have trouble believing. . .

. . . in what you cannot see?

Do you believe in yourself, sight unseen? You can see yourself when you look in the mirror, but can you believe what the mirror is telling you? Without the mirror or belief in yourself, you can only perceive what others see you to be. To believe in yourself, you must trust that you are real. I don’t mean real as in what you see on TV (sarcasm)—I mean real as in what is in your soul. You must believe in what you can’t always see.

A friend of mine, Patricia Monna from Our Angels Center in Calgary has recently done some very amazing things because she believes in herself. She believes that she can “see,” with her mind, images that help to locate missing persons, and she has been very successful in doing that. She is a very gifted soul, and I choose to believe in what she can do, even though I cannot see what she can see. I know that if I stand in a room completely devoid of light, the room still exists in my mind, so I also choose to believe that when you close your eyes and believe in you, then you too can exist wherever your mind wants you to be.

I know this concept is deep, but on the surface it is simply all about choosing to believe, and it all starts with believing in you. Once you fully grasp and understand the similarity between the reality of what is and the abstract of what could be, you will then find the balance and calm required to believe all things are possible.

Many years ago I started believing there was more to life than what society had to offer. I started believing I could find an answer to a question I had not yet asked myself: Who am I? I went off to my mountains to find myself, to learn more about BawB. I needed to learn how to believe. It is not something we are born with; it is not an instinct. Belief, according to Merriam-Webster, is “a state or habit of mind in which trust or confidence is placed in some person or thing.” Well, that sounds easy enough; I trust myself, so I believe in myself, and I am confident in others, so I believe in them too.

When I first started sharing my words, people believed in me, and my confidence increased. With this confidence, I was comfortable sharing my views, opinions, and inspiration about life and living. My book was created because people believed in me; the volumes that will follow will be shared by people who believe in themselves; and maybe, just maybe, we will all learn once again how important it is to just believe.

Seeing is believing, believing is seeing, it’s true if you want it to be;

you can believe in the person you are, if you learn to set your mind free.

Make sure you know where your center is. . .

. . . before you seek the edge.

Well, here we are—a new year is upon us, and already I am planning my adventures: which roads to take, which paths to walk. First thing on the agenda is to get smarter about marketing, with the guidance and wisdom of Beth from Author Connections.

Next up, full steam ahead with volume II of BawB’s Raven Feathers, already in the capable and talented hands of Rachel from Faultless Finish Editing. Then off to chat with our newly appointed designer, Fiona Raven, such wonderful energy.

I will also make time this year to see as many people as I possibly can, and I mean really see them, physically. I have realized that once we have been swallowed up by the time bubble, it is impossible to recognize how fast time really passes, and before we know it, another year has passed. So this year, I am choosing to make the time to get on my motorcycle or hop in the camper and do what should come naturally—say hello, face to face.

I had the pleasure of seeing some folks over the holidays who reminded me of the dangers of “wishing we would have” and “feeling we should have.” One of the unfortunate side effects of growing older is seeing everybody around you grow older too. Things seem happen more quickly, the older we get, and sometimes our actions have more drastic consequences. For example, the “I’ll get around to it” never comes.

It is important to determine the center of your life, the place where you can find balance. From this place you can see the edges of your life for 360 degrees and can head out in any direction with the comfort of knowing you can return to the center at any time. If you are grounded in your center, it becomes easier to make time to do the things you need to do without getting lost or overloaded.

Stay balanced, stay focused, and for goodness’ sake, stay in touch with people. Remember your energy is fluid—it travels with the wind. Attach a smile to it and share your thoughts. People need to know you are out there; you need to share in the energy of the world. Stay positive, stay active, mentally and physically, and above all, know where the center of your life is and believe in you.

You are the one who knows you best, so believe in who you are.

It never hurts to dream sometimes, or wish upon that star.
