Change happens. . .

. . . because you let it.

So many changes, so little time, and yet, time is irrelevant when it comes to making a change in your life. What I am learning is that if you wish to make a change, or perhaps if you think changing something could help move you forward, then you have to make it happen. Change is all around us, not predetermined by a better time, or perhaps next week, change is immediate, it happens the moment you let yourself believe it is happening or can happen.

I guess, if you think about it, you could look at this in a parallel fashion to the chicken/egg dilemma, which comes first; the changes or the happiness? Personally, I was happy to make some changes, by doing so it allowed me to find a different kind of balance, a different way of living, a different way of feeling, and most important to me, a different way of “seeing” things.

Call it what you will, but I would much rather find my happiness creating my own comfort level, with my own business instead of making someone else’s business better for them.

If you read this and you get it, if you need the chance to change and you are willing to believe it can happen if you let it, then this is an invitation to explore a new way of looking at things. Nerium offers a line of botanical based, age fighting/anti-wrinkle formulas, for the face, body and mind and all you have to do, is see how much they can change your life, then share that success with others.

Can you hear the wind sing. . .

. . . the new song of spring?

Does the thought of spring do anything for you? Can you feel a change occurring within you? It’s really quite amazing I think, the fact that humans have evolved into such a dominant, thinking species. We have excelled in the last few decades at miniaturizing and improving our electronic devices; our communication equipment can now tell us in less than a heartbeat what the weather is going to be next week. Yet, we are still so much like our animal friends that we feel and react to the coming of spring.

I start my spring on March 1. I always have. It’s around this date that I can “feel” the changes in the sun—it seems warmer, stays out longer, and refreshes the day with more vigor. The wind goes through changes as well; it dances differently, it carries warmth with a song of change and starts to whistle tunes of enjoyment. Coats on our neighborhood four-footed outdoor denizens start to change, birds flutter about looking for somewhere to nest, and motorcycles start to appear on the streets.

Cars and bikes display a winter’s worth of changes, modifications, and polishing the very first day the streets are officially dry. We watch the news for the updated weather forecast and will alter our go/no-go temperatures by five degrees if it means getting out there for that first ride. Of course there are the winter folk who feel spring in the air as well. They entertain sad thoughts of the need to once again store the machines that brought them smiles, and they reflect on all the fun they had over the course of the winter months.

Spring changes us emotionally as well. I swear that most of us go into a rest mode during the winter. We still exist, we work, we live, we share our smiles, but during the first few weeks of spring, we, like the flowers and the trees, start to bud. Color comes back to our cheeks, we walk with a bounce in our step, and even the morning rush is less stressful because we feel a calm inside us.

I am finding it easier to sit in the office with my morning coffee and write my thoughts and share my daily inspiration on Facebook. It almost feels to me as if the day has become more welcoming. Even my dog, Levi, has a smile. He’s started shedding his winter coat and takes a little longer every morning to do his outside run.

Best of all, soon I will be out there on the streets with my freshly polished and modified motorcycle feeling the wind in my face and the freedom in my soul.

Feel the spring wind as it covers the ground.

It shares with you the warmth it’s found.

You will find balance living in today. . .

. . .between yesterdays memories and tomorrows dreams.

As the New Year dawns, do you have expectations, plans, goals, or are you one that lives comfortably day-to-day? There really is no right or wrong way to live, I believe as long as you can look back and smile at your accomplishments, and your failures, then you have lived comfortably for yourself. I have lived a monumental year, I have met wonderful new people, I have had adventures on my motorcycle and in the camper, I have written 55 blogs, 300 status updates, shared laughter and smiles with friends, and yes, I have published my first book.

I look back on 2012 with more than just a smile; I look back with appreciation for everything I have experienced. My biggest thrill was seeing what a dream looks like in reality, actually holding on to something that I never imagined could happen, and then having it accepted and supported by others.  I look forward to the New Year and hope I can keep the energy flowing in such a positive way. I am having so much fun sharing with you my experiences, and my feathers of life. I hope to inspire, motivate and impress on as many people as I can, the importance of believing in you.

In this last year we have had 366 chances to live for today, how many of those days can you actually remember? Do you have new memories stored away? And have you attached a smile to any of them? Have you learned any lessons, or failed any challenges?  Did you give yourself credit for trying, or pat your own back because you made it through? For the New Year that approaches are you making resolutions, are they obtainable and realistic, are you thinking positively? Will you dream of what might be and reach for a star or two? You will have 365 chances to live for the day this year, and I wish for all of you the best in each and every one of them.

With heart felt appreciation I send a shout out to Michelle for being at my side, to Jordy for listening and helping me create, to all of You for reading my words, and to my book family, Rachel, Carrie, Beth, and Greg for encouraging me. It’s going to be a wonderful year as our adventure continues.

I have seen the smile from within my heart, it reflects from each of you,

I look forward to the coming year, because each day is new.

Thank you to each of my wonderful friends that support me like you do

Thank you all for believing, and for being the best at being you.

🙂
