. . . then temper it with worthy pride.
How proud are you of what you do? If you are not proud of yourself, you should be. Do you wait for others to recognize your achievements? Have you ever done something and then wished there was someone around to see it? You are not giving yourself enough credit. Pat your own back, appreciate you for who you are and what you have done, and dream of something you are going to do. Really, all the famous folks in the world didn’t wait for someone else to come up with an idea. They came up with it and they did it. The fame comes from doing it first.
In my years I have seen sadness brought on from internal turmoil, low self-esteem, and no self-image, and all it takes to improve this is to learn to see yourself for who you really are and for what you do or have done. We can’t all be famous, but we can all smile. It’s free, it’s easy, and it changes the world one face at a time. Start small— let someone cross the street in front of your car without fretting, open a door for the person behind you, or help a stranger carry something. Reach out, share your energy, be yourself—don’t wait for someone to ask you for something, just do it.
So many things in life take place without our seeing them. The world is a big place; we are but a spec of existence in the big scheme of things, but each one of us is very important to the world, with every thought, every notion, every inclination on every mind, the world is fueled with energy, negative and positive energy, that is exchanged in the air, balanced by breathing, and shared by simply being. Your energy is important because it’s yours, because it’s different than everybody else’s. Of this you should be proud: because you are who you are, the world is in balance.
I love to write. It gives me a chance to share my energy. I am proud to be able to share my thoughts with you. I am glad I can bring a smile to the faces of those who read my thoughts. I spend the days wondering how many smiles are created because I shared my energy and how many smiles you will create when you share yours.
The world around us is vast indeed, it spins in darkened space;
You alone can make a difference, with just a smile on your face.
